Regional curiosities in Wojciechoska Farm

Tourists visiting Lubelszczyzna can make use of the increasingly interesting tourist offer. Many farms operating here offer not only an opportunity to rest in the bosom of nature, amidst the rural landscapes, but also a chance to enjoy the culinary heritage of this region. In order to better promote the region, the Local Action Group „Green Ring” decided to create 7 Local Product Chambers, located in the places attractive in tourist terms. Co-financing for this idea was acquired from the Swiss Fund.

The very idea of creating a network of the chambers has proven to be great success. They allowed to connect local artists and craftsmen, giving them an opportunity to sell their goods and to develop the activity promoting the culture and traditions of the region. For tourists, it is a great souvenir of their stay in Lubelszczyzna as well as an excellent method to get familiar with the traditional ways of basket making, pottery, clay processing and weaving. The chambers were founded in Bałtów, Borysów, Celejów, Gołąb, Klementowice, Wojciechów-Kolonia Piąta and Zabłocie, each was established according to the same project. Tourists can buy there products of regional craft, delicacies from Lubelszczyzna produced according to ancient recipes as well as handiwork and works of artists. Products sold were made in the traditional way, just as they were many years ago.

One of these chambers is located in Wojciechoska Farm – an agri-tourist farm offering visitors an interesting programme of a stay. Apart from a nightstay in an old hut, contact with live farm animals and traditional Lublin cuisine, tourists can also learn here how to make baskets or clay pots. The chamber which occupied one of the rooms of the farm is ideally matched with the agri-tourist offer of the region and invites more visitors to visit Lubelszczyzna.
